Peppermint (Mentha piperita L.)

 

 

Peppermint as well as mint is a medicinal and spice plant and was the medicinal plant of 2004.

 

Today, peppermint cultures can be found in all temperate climates on earth.

 

The plant loves a sunny to partially shaded location and a loose, slightly moist, nutrient-rich soil. It thrives at altitudes up to 1,000 m above sea level.

 

Here in Greece the climate and the soil properties of the mint give it its unique, full aroma.
